Quebec school requests a harvester that can accommodate student and
instructor. Tigercat quickly delivers with custom-built H845B carrier.
PARIS, ON, September 14, 2001 - When
Quebec, Canada based Centre de Formation Professionelle Commission scolaire du
Pays-des-Bleuets determined a requirement for a harvester specially designed to
accommodate student and instructor, they looked to Tigercat to quickly
accomplish the task.
The track engineering group responded by fitting the popular H845B harvester
with the all-new 800 series feller buncher cab. The zero tail-swing 800 series
models include the 822 and L830 feller bunchers.
The operator’s station boasts, front and side door access, a huge internal
space and unprecedented multi-directional visibility – perfect for conversion
to a two-person cab. With the new configuration, the instructor is comfortably
seated behind the student for easy observation.
"There was already a large area behind the operator’s seat,"
explains Grant Somerville, track group product manager. "We added the
second seat just behind the operator’s seat and oriented it to the side to
maximize leg room. Some adjustments to the upper assembly of the carrier were
all that was necessary to accommodate the new cab."
