Moves into East Russia
Tigercat expands distribution into Eastern Russia with JV ARKAIM

ARIS, ON, April 4, 2002 – Tigercat
Industries is pleased to announce the appointment of JV ARKAIM and TimberNor AS
authorized Tigercat-Hemek distributor for eastern Russia.
JV ARKAIM is a Russian forest company, currently harvesting 300,000 m3 of
saw logs each year. The company is headquartered in the harbour city of VANINO
on the east cost of Russia. Office and equipment service facilities are
strategically located in in Khabarovsk and Krasnojarks.
Forestry equipment sales and service activity will be focused primarily in
Khabarovsk city.
The forestry operation end of JV ARKAIM has been using HEMEK 700 Forwarder
for the last 3 years with 5 F700 machines in the current fleet. The Hemek
forwarder has been productive, reliable and well suites to the forest conditions
in the area.
About JV ARKAIM
Bjørn Syversen, owner of Norway based TimberNor AS is also part owner of
Russian company, JV ARKAIM. Syversen has been involved in Eastern Russian
forestry for ten years and has helped introduce cut-to-length harvesting
practices to the region. JV ARKAIM has a great deal of experience in all aspects
of forestry practices and equipment service.
