Subject: Expo 2001, Atlanta Georgia

Although crowds were thin and manufacturer exhibits scaled back compared to prior Atlanta shows, Tigercat managed to make quite an impression with the debut the 822 track feller buncher.
Based on the L830, which was designed for steep terrain, the 822 is a thinning machine; zero tail-swing and boom geometry that allows the operator to bring the head in very close allows the machine to maneuver in tight quarters.
The 822 engineers did their homework and it shows. Many loggers commented favourably on the size, comfort and visibility within the cab as well as the remarkable access to the engine, pumps, valves and coolers.
After the show, the 822 went to a third row pine thinning operation to be put through its paces. Field reports to date are very positive.
Tigercat also exhibited a T250 loader, the first ever dual arch 620 skidder and the new 724D feller buncher with Tigercat’s cross-flow cooling system.
Thanks to all who attended the show and special thanks to our dealers for their support at the show and to the Tigercat machine owners and operators who came by the booth. The valuable feedback and insight provided by our customers is what drives product development and enhancement at Tigercat.
