Tigercat forestry and logging equipment: service tips
Daily Maintenance Inspection
To ensure proper and efficient machine operation with minimal downtime,
Tigercat recommends a daily maintenance inspection.
Always refer to the Operator’s Manual
This is only a brief outline of the daily maintenance requirements of
your Tigercat machine. Please refer to your operator’s manual for
detailed information on all maintenance points, intervals and recommended
fluids and lubricants for your
specific machine.
General Service and Inspection
Ensure that all fluids are at the proper level. Refer to the
preventative maintenance schedule in your operator’s manual for details.
Fuel the machine at the end of the day. This will prevent overnight
water build-up from condensation in the fuel tank.
Apply grease to all lubrication points at required intervals.
Visually inspect all hoses and fittings for leaks, wear or improper
routing.
Ensure gauges and sensors are in good operating condition. Never
operate a machine with faulty gauges.
Ensure the engine compartment and intake screens are clear of debris.
Do not allow branches, twigs, leaves or pine needles to build up around
radiator intake doors or anywhere on the machine.
Inspect for fuel, oil and coolant leaks around the engine.
Close and secure all doors and access covers.
