The 80th Annual Oregon Logging Conference was held February 22 – 24 at the Lane Events Center & Fairgrounds in Eugene, Oregon. Forestry professionals from up and down the west coast and points east, travel to Oregon every year to see the latest technology being offered by equipment manufacturers, and to attend hands-on training seminars. The Oregon Women in Logging once again hosted the Kick off dinner and silent auction to benefit Talk about Trees, a statewide forestry education program.

Triad Machinery represented Tigercat with a number of machines on display. Tigercat CEO Ken MacDonald along with members of the Tigercat team were also in attendance to support the event.

The new Tigercat 1185 wheeled harvester drew a lot of attention. The machine has been recently purchased by Janicki Logging in Sedro-Woolley, WA – the first 1185 to be retailed in the US. Tigercat factory representative Kusiah McCullough presented Johnny and Peter Janicki with custom hardhats to commemorate the significant event.

Other Tigercat machines on display in the Triad booth included the 875 and 880D loggers, LX830D and LX870D track feller bunchers, LS855D shovel loggers equipped both with a grapple and the 5195 directional felling saw and a 610E skidder.
