625H in West Virginia

Tigercat visited three logging contractors around West Virginia and Maryland that are using Tigercat six-wheel skidders to gain an understanding of the applications and terrain they are operating in. The rugged Appalachian range is the defining geographical feature of the region. Sharp mountain ridges descend into steep river valleys, along with the rolling hardwood covered hills that dominate the landscape. The region experiences high precipitation, adding further challenges for harvesting contractors.
