The horizontally pivoting, trailing-arm design provides excellent tree contact for accurate length measuring. Hydraulic cylinder actuation provides immediate response and consistent, accurate contact. The large diameter measuring wheel minimizes length measuring errors. The measuring wheel retracts for reduced wear and damage.
Various wheel styles are available to suit different applications.
Cast steel knife arms for superior strength, impact resistance and extended service life. Knife arms are mounted using large taper lock-style pins with sealed bushings.
Both harvester and processor profiles are available. Processing knife arms are specially designed for high performance when picking trees from the unprocessed pile.
The 534 has a locked three-wheel drive system. Triangulated wheel arms maintain positive tree contact and control. The arms support the weight of the stem, allowing for lower knife pressures and less friction. The result is less wear and faster feeding speed.
