The ER boom system provides tighter tuck, increased envelope and more below grade capability. Through-tip routing offers better protection of the hoses leading to the felling head. Three-mode ER provides the operator with a wide range of boom control options.
The side opening engine roof completely exposes the top and both sides of the engine, and most hydraulic components. When open, the enclosure roof serves as a spacious side service platform to work comfortably and safely.
Optimized weight distribution and low centre of mass, along with Tigercat’s patented super duty leveling undercarriage, provide excellent stability on steep slopes. The unique sloping tail design increases leveling capability to 26 degrees. Additional clearance improves cable management on winch assist applications, reducing chain rub and interference.

Daryl Westerveld, product engineer for tracked harvesting systems, takes us on a walk-around of the 857 and 877 carriers. The sloped tail represents a reimagining of what a steep-slope carrier should look like. The result is a machine with increased leveling capability and greater chain clearance in winch-assisted applications, while maintaining the class leading stability of Tigercat machines. Watch this video to learn about the key features and benefits of owning an 857 and 877 carrier.
